Photo doesn't do the colors justice, but better than my scanner. This started off with the 3 colorful buildings in the middle, then I decided to add the brown building as contrast. That, combined with the fence and the sky and street turned this into something much drearier and darker than I had anticipated. Which meant that Molemen must be to blame.
This idea could go so many places! I could see it as a one minute short, or at the very least, a very cool t-shirt design. The short could be like a 1950's duck and cover cartoon but informing the children of what to do should they encounter a mole man. It could be ridiculous and terrifying.
